Flood alerts and warnings

The Environment Agency provides flood warnings for flooding at three levels:

• Flood Alert — Flooding is Possible. Be Prepared.
• Flood Warning — Flooding is Expected. Immediate Action Required.
• Severe Flood Warning — Severe Flooding, Danger to Life

As well as viewing the warnings on the portal, you can sign up to receive flood alerts sent by text to your phone. Sign up for flood warnings.
